Jobtausch

The Swiss version of the television prized premiere of the German hit "Stellungswechsel" sends employees around the globe to experience the most exotic work week of their lives. In every episode two Swiss nationals switch jobs with two people in a faraway land for one week. Bakers from Thurgau switch with bakers in Uganda, lifeguards from Bern switch with lifeguards on the Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro, or a cook from Bern switches with a colleague in New Delhi, India... This social experiment knows no limits!

Both protagonists will be facing totally new challenges. Handcrafting instead of high-tech, muscle power instead of horsepower – the profession is the same but the conditions are completely new. Which one will be able to adapt the best to their new work environment? Which one will be able to win over their temporary boss the best? The employees on two opposite continents will be gathering unique experience and learning new abilities. And other than the job, the "job switchers" will be able to get to know a new land and new people.

"Jobtauch" achieved a rating share at SRF of up to 37.0% of the target audience of three years and older. Season 9 has been started in November 2020.
