HRVATSKA TRAZI ZVIJEZDU

HRVATSKA TRAZI  ZVIJEZDU is a casting show by Croatia’s private broadcasting company RTL which premiered in February 2009. HRVATSKA TRAZI  ZVIJEZDU is based on no less than the British top-rated IDOL. In the meantime this extremely successful TV format is being aired in over 30 countries to enthusiastic audiences all over the world. Pop stars such as Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Will Young got their big break through this spectacular television event that has gained in fascination and viewers since its inception in 2001.

The concept combines the traditional song contest with interactive viewer voting: During the audition and elimination phase the jury alone decides on who makes it to the next round, while in the later live shows outcomes are decided by viewer voting.

The ultimate winner of the competition not only achieves national recognition as a singer, but is also awarded a recording contract and a hit single.

Constantin Entertainment produced three seasons of the show. The top rating was 47.8 %.
