Typisch Deutsch?!

TYPICALLY GERMAN?! The Kaya Show

The typical German loves football, cars, sausages, and white socks with Birkenstocks… And hates spontaneity and unpunctuality. Germany – a duty-bound, humourless and beer-drinking nation. In brief: stereotypically German. At any rate, this is what the clichés say. Yet, how much truth is to be found in these stereotypes? What does typically German mean? This is what Germany's star comedian Kaya Yanar wants to know and settles it once and for all in his new comedy show TYPICALLY GERMAN?! – THE KAYA SHOW.

In six episodes Kaya spares no mercy in his glimpse at the typical German, their customs, bad habits and preferences – and investigates if Germans really are as industrious, correct and humourless as evil tongues presume. The basis of Kaya's research is a representative, Germany-wide survey he personally commissioned. The most interesting findings in such disciplines as nagging, shoe buying and lovemaking duration are presented based on statistics that compare Germans with other nations. Results are presented by Kaya on stage as comedy events, talks, sketches and documentary films – typically Kaya. Accompanying him are celebrities and guests with "typically German" characteristics! Guests include such comedy stars as Paul Panzer, Oliver Pocher and Bülent Ceylan.

The award-winning comedian returns to his roots with TYICALLY GERMAN?! – THE KAYA SHOW, as no one can entertain Germans by showing them how they really are better than Kaya. Whereby the German of Turkish descent also asks himself "How typically German am I anyway?".
