Happy Otto

For over 30 years Otto Waalkes has been flabbergasting audiences with bon mots such as: “I had all the signs of becoming a loser – but then again you can’t have everything.” Of all people, this blond Eastern Fresian will be celebrating his “Big-0” birthday this summer. It’s Otto’s 60th – and anyone who is anyone will be there to help him celebrate.

But it’s not only his faithful fans and audience who will be there for the festivities – his long-time friends in comedy wouldn’t dream of sitting this one out. The crème de la crème of comedy have stepped forward for an evening of fun and laughs: Michael Mittermeier, Mario Barth, Mirja Boes, Bully Herbig, Helge Schneider, Atze Schröder, Paul Panzer, Ralf Schmitz, Kaya Yanar, Oliver Pocher and Maddin Schneider, and many, many more. Not to forget Otto’s friends of many years who participated in his most recent cinematic successes:  the “Seven Dwarfs” …and Otto’s old roomie Udo Lindenberg!

The show will be moderated by Nazan Eckes. The gala event will be broadcast from the Cologne Coloneum in the brand new studio built especially for this occasion.
